stranger q&a

i love social experiments

Well, one day I got bored in New York City and just decided to go around interviewing random strangers. You can bet that I got rejected a lot -- most of all by homeless people, which I thought was interesting, because they usually seem pretty eager to talk to me. In any case. Here are some of the results. More to come, maybe.

Ricky, The Part-Time Doorman

I interviewed Ricky because I saw him buy a homeless man a meal, and I was curious as to why he did it. His answer as to why definitely surprised me; I was expecting something different, but it's cool. Good ol' Ricky.

Paul, The Mobile Book Shop Guy

Honestly, I couldn't tell if this guy was friendly in a sassy way or just kind of really disliking me but being grudgingly polite. I asked him a slew of questions before the tape actually started rolling, but he basically said I could ask him five questions and no more than five (my fault, because when he initially said no, I said I'd only ask five questions... dude wasn't fucking around, apparently!).

Molly, The Hand-Out-Flyers Gal

Molly was way, way friendly, and she was the first New Yorker to agree to being interviewed -- which makes her automatically awesome.
